Sunny Queen Farms | Celebrating Australian Food and Agribusiness Innovations 2020

Sunny Queen Farms has been producing Australian eggs for over 80 years. In 2007, the company identified a market need for a quicker and easier way to enjoy eggs, as consumers increasingly wanted a convenient and nutritious meal option that required minimal preparation and cooking.

Sunny Queen developed the Meal Solutions range of ready-to-eat egg products including: Omelettes, Frittatas, Fritters, French Toast, Egg Bakes, Scrambled Eggs, Poached Eggs in two formats and sandwich-ready Smashed Egg.

The company has a dedicated chef onsite, who works with food technologists to develop meal products and flavours in line with current Australian and international trends. Sunny Queen Farms is committed to a philosophy of studying, understanding and adapting to continually shifting market requirements. That agile approach led to development of bite-sized versions of full meal products, in response to Australia’s ‘get-up-and-go’ morning routine which regularly sees busy workers skip breakfast, providing them with an easy eat-at-your-desk option.

Sunny Queen Meal Solutions are cooked fresh and snap frozen using proprietary freezing technology that locks in freshness and ensures delivery of a quality product that is ready to heat and serve in minutes. With a minimum shelf-life of 12 months, the products offer a convenient no-waste meal option in a wide range of formats and flavours and are simply reheated using a microwave, grill, combi- or standard oven.

Sunny Queen Meal Solutions use pasteurised farm fresh eggs and quality ingredients, with no added preservatives or artificial flavours. Certified SQF & HACCP, the Meal Solutions products are a versatile and simple way to deliver protein in both retail and food service applications including education, aged care, QSR, cafes, air services and cruise lines.

Sunny Queen’s responsive approach means that meal formats, flavours and special dietary considerations — such as low sodium options, or meals that feature only free-range or cage-free eggs — can easily be developed to meet any customer requirement.
